Funny story about Inspiration

I made this card today, This has a funny story.

Looking at some blogs for inspiration I saw one on Joys blog that I liked. Decided to use up some old scraps of paper (my scrap tray is overflowing!). Founds some patterned paper with some plain cardstock that would look OK and then started. Picked out a stamp (unfortunately I have a beginners collection of stamps so my choice had no similarity to Joys)…oh well….kept on plodding along. Then feeling a bit lazy to get out a circle cutter (nestabilites circles are already on my order from Scrapbook Boutique), and looking at my stamp selection I thought a rectangle would suit better. This was the beginning and end of ANY similarity to the card I intended making!! Anyway I am please with how it turned out.

I think sometimes when we look at other cards for inspiration, it turns out the only inspiration we needed was to pick up some paper and pick out a stamp.

Papers: Variety from scrap tray, I think the pattern paper is from Kelly Panacci.
Stamps: Sassy Stems and En Francais - Stampin’ Up, Mini Messages - Kaszazz.
Inks etc: Old Paper and Fired Brick distress inks – Ranger, Black Stazon, Stampin’ Pastels – Stampin’ Up
Embellishments: Rhinestones – Kaisercraft, Glossy Accents –Ranger
